Modern Hypatia

As a historical reenactor for over 10 years, I have accrued the knowledge and skills to discuss topics ranging from the early 18th century through the late 19th century. 

These topics include, but are not limited to: natural science, quackery, medicine, electrical science, the science of Mary Shelley & Frankenstein, women in science, and Revolutionary spy craft. My entertaining, educational lectures and discussions always include introspection on women in the period.

In my work with historical sites from Gadsby's Tavern to Mt. Vernon to Congressional Cemetery and beyond, I create unique live performances that demonstrate the pervasive impact of historical footprints, while simultaneously illustrating the fun that can be had from a front row seat to your own personal time machine. 

I am passionate about bringing this old world to life in the new.
